MA, LPC (Senior Counselor)
Ashley Lewis is a Licensed Professional Counselor, holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Tougaloo College (Tougaloo, MS) and a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling: Specialization in Sports Psychology from Adler University (Chicago, IL). Additionally, Ashley holds certificates of extensive cultural and mental health trainings from the countries of France and Costa Rica. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Adler University (Chicago, IL). As an experience substance abuse counselor, she is working on her license as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Throughout her career, Ashley has worked with a wide range of individuals who are living with and battling mental health, performance, learning, mood, trauma, personality, and addictive disorders from ages 14-75. Ashley became interested in providing services for the field of addiction, as she realized how closely it impacted her family and persons close to her. She wanted to be a light and helper to break the cycle that addiction has in many people’s lives. Ashley believes the first and far most important aspect to the process of change is being able to have an authentic, genuine, and empathic relationship with clients. Additionally, Ashley believes her holistic point of view for the field of mental health and understanding of culture and social justice provides her with an edge to advocate for others who are in need of services or education.
