Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac)
Khadijah Kysia is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac) and Board Certified herbalist, and poet with a Bachelor Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (Chicago), where she is also on staff as a clinic supervisor. She is currently enrolled in a doctoral program at Five Branches University. Khadijah considers herself a momentum strategist specializing in resolving pain internally and externally, accessing joy to transform challenges into health and stability. Her practice is based Humboldt Park and she collaborates as a community partner with other organization. With a primary focus on pain management and psycho-emotional care, her sessions also explore preventative strategies for a range of disharmonies including: circulatory; endocrine; and nervous system. Through internal arts ( meditation, sound, visualization) and other practices the client learns to cultivate and store internal resources which helps with elevated blood pressure, fluid metabolism, and overall vitality. Khadijah enjoys learning, teaching interactive workshops on Asian medical philosophies and offering low cost community acupuncture .
